Is AT&T your network provider? Get some savings!

By now everyone is aware that the Verizon iPhone 4 is out in the wild. Many are hoping to switch to the CDMA version so that they no longer experience dropped calls, etc. While Verizon may have a better network, you are still not able to talk on the phone and use data simultaneously like you are can on AT&T. If you decided to stick with the the iPhone’s original home (AT&T), you may be in luck for some sweet deals.
The first was a tip I found out about two weeks ago (sorry I haven’t posted, it’s been busy) where AT&T is giving out an extra 1000 free rollover minutes minutes to customers with a data plan (maybe even without, I’m not sure completely sure since I’ve had an original iPhone data plan since 2007). All you need to do is just  text the word “yes” to the number “11113020″ and you will recieve a message that says your account has been credited. You have until March 31, 2011 to do this. I tried it on my account and it worked, I don’t have an iPhone anymore, but an HTC Nexus One. Other sites online have confirmed it with AT&T, although when I went to the AT&T store at the Schuylkill Mall to get my brother a new phone recently, the guy didn’t know anything about it and wasn’t much help. You may have even gotten a text message telling you to do this, but I hadn’t.
The second deal that you can get is that AT&T recently announced that it will offer free mobile-to-mobile calls to its customers, regardless of what network they are calling. A company press release said this, “Existing customers with an unlimited messaging plan can activate Mobile to Any Mobile by visiting  www.att.com/anymobile.” You can also activate it in the store, which I did.
The offer is available to any customer with an unlimited messaging plan and a qualifying voice plan. If you don’t already have AT&T’s unlimited message plan, it costs $20 per month. It’s a great deal if you’re on a family plan.
So, are you happy you decided to stick with AT&T? Now you can get yourself some extra minutes and you can even call people on Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint or any other network for free. That’s another thing the Verizon iPhone can’t do! Make sure you get on these deals soon to get a big thank you from AT&T!
